Jogalekar-Kulkarni
A
famous and ever smiley-faced personality in Thane - Sampada
Jogalekar-Kulkarni, a well-known TV & play artist
had free and frank talk with AapaleThane.com. Our reporter
Vaibhav Kalsulkar had interrogation with her.
How
long you are staying in Thane?
I am a Thaneits. I born and brought up in Thane. I enjoyed
my childhood, school and collage life in Thane.
Tell
us something about your school and collage life.
I passed out SSC from M. H. Highschool, Thane, and then I
joined Thane Collage. I completed B.A. in Economics and Politics
from there and I successfully completed M.A. in Marathi from
Mumbai University. I really enjoyed my collage life. Collage
had given me everything that I was expecting at that particular
stage of life.
Did
you had plans of making your career in acting from school/collage
days?
No. Not as such. I used to or in fact like to read books,
literatures, I used to like to speak. So I thought why not
to start with the acting as reading and speaking is the basic
needs for acting. Then I started participating in collage
functions and relatively in Inter-collage competitions for
collage. When I was in Thane collage I participated in INT
inter collage competition, which was one of the famous inter-collage
competitions and many of the professional directors, producers,
and actors used to visit there. And fortunately I won first
prize as the best actress.
How
did you start with your carrier as a professional artist?
First break I got was in Aaiche Ghar Unhache which was Gajendra
Dalvi's production then I got Ghar Tighanche Aahe (Mauli Production).
One moment came in my life where our team Sanjay Narvekar,
Bharat Jadhav, Ankush Chaudary and myself were participating
in a one-act play competition. We were performing "All
the Best" first time. Mr. Mohan Wagh was judge for it.
He like concept and you all know "All The Best"
was the record breaking play. After All The Best I acted in
Bimb Pratibimb (one-act play) then I got married.
I
stopped Sampada for a moment and asked her, hey! tell something
about your married life?
She gave a good smile and said Rahul, my husband is very supportive
in nature. After marriage I took 5 years gap but only by Rahul's
helpful and co-operative nature I came back to the stage again.
"Varyavarchi Varat" is a recent drama of mine. Now
I am acting in Amol Palekar's "Paul Khuna", Samrajya,
Akalpit, Reshim Gathi, Spandan serials.
I am also anchoring in Tak Dhina Dhin (Aantakshari) and Shubhmangal
are the two serials. I enjoyed Tak Dhina Dhin a lot because
I love to laugh and you must have seen I always laugh in this
Aantakshari.
Tell
us about your hobbies. How you spend your free time?
I always love to talk. I like reading books, writing stories
and poems. I had written a story/play for my daughter's function
in school. I like cooking. I never like to spend time in worthless
things. I always keep myself busy in reading, writing and
such.
Tell
us your view about Thane.
Thane is very beautiful and cool city. I have born in Thane
so I always have affection about Thane. Even I would prefer
to stay in Thane instead in Mumbai.
How
you celebrate Diwali?
I like Ganpati and Diwali festival. These are golden moments
for me which I never miss. I used to do shopping for me my
family, sending greetings to friends and relatives. I am very
terrified about noisy crackles.
What
you would like to say to our viewers?
Always laugh, share your moments with others, and build contacts
that will help you in your entire life.
