Shekhar Phadake

He is a young, talented and creative nature of guy. He is currently working in many TV shows, serials, plays. But in his busy schedule also he had given some time to AapaleThane.com. The interview taken by Girish Kalsulkar.

Shekhar first let us viewers know about you, so tell us something about your childhood, collagelife.
I have not born in Thane but still I consider myself as a Thaneite. I completed my graduation from Dhyansadhana Collage, Thane. I started my acting carrier from collage. Every year I used to participate in collage functions, State level drama competitions.

Had you decided from childhood to make career in this industry?
It was not decided. I used to participate in school and collage functions. But it was just for fun. Then I started getting offers for films and plays. I played a roll in Marathi Film Aai Pahije when I was in 7th standard. It was great experience of my life. I did a serial named Are Sansar Sansar with Prashant Damale & Pradeep Patvardhan. After collage I have started my drama/play carrier professionally.

How you got the break in this industry?
The first play in which I acted was To Mee Navhech. I worked with Sudhir Joshi, Asha Kale in Ghar Shrimantache which was directed by Prabodh Kulkarni. Kon Konasathi, Kashi Chakra, Swargavar Swari, Maza Pati Karodpati were some of the plays in which I acted. Story of Kon Konasathi was generated by me. I have done some serials Bandini, Damini, Gharkul.

Is there any godfather you found?
I am proud to say that great actor like Sudhir Joshi, director like Pratima Kulkarni and Vijay Patkar are like a godfather for me. They have always helped me, guided me.

Give us idea about your current projects?
Currently I am doing two-three plays named Maan Odhal Odhal with Dr. Girish Oak and Bharati Aacharekar directed by Pratima Kulkarni, Kon Kunasathi (a timepass chocolate comedy play). Some of my serials which are presently running are Jibhela Kahi Haad, Comdey Dot Com, Kharach Maaz Chukala Ka? (Alpha TV Marathi), Zoka, Shubhamangal, Char Diwas Sasuche (ETV Marathi), 405 Anandwan (Alpha TV Marathi).

How you got support from your parents?
My parents are very supportive and had always given me good suggestions. This encourages me and also helps me to think and correct my mistakes. My brother Shirish is a transparent viewer for me.

What you would like to say to those friends who are struggling in this industry?
Acting is such thing which you can not learn from any school or collage. You should have to generate it in yourselves. You should always participate in competitions, one-act-play that increases your confidence.

Wish you all the best Shekahr for your future from AapaleThane.com
