am a Thaneite. I born in Thane. I was in St. Holy Cross High
School till S.S.C. Then I joined Joshi-Bedekar Collage which
is famous by Thana Collage", She said about her. Many
people in this industry had planned to come in this line like
that had you decided from your childhood that you want to
become an actress? She said, "No. I had not decided or
not even thought that I could come in film line. In our collage
function I was doing a one-act-play where Dr. Girish Oak was
the judge. He appreciated my acting." "But then
how you entered into Marathi stage?" I asked her.
"My
first play/stage show was Sundar Me Honar which was directed
by Mr. Vijay Kenkare. It was my first play in my life and
I was quite nervous coz I had to work with Dr. Shreeram Lagoo
and Vandana Gupte. But I did very well in it. Char Diwas Pramache,
Gharoghari, Eka Lagnachi Goshta are some the plays which I
am doing and some serials like Char Diwas Sasuche, Kay Pahilas
Mazyat, Sakhi, Uchapati". Kavita Lad and Prashant Damale
is one of the most famous pair in Marathi. Both of your acting,
dialogs are perfectly tuned. She said, "Prashant is my
Guru. I have learned many things from him.
I
asked her, "How get time for yourself in such busy schedule?"
she said, "I got tired in 9 to 9 shifts. I really don't
get time for me. But when I am free I used to sleep a lot.
I like to cook especially fish curry, fried fish. I like to
travel. I always spare some time in Diwali, Ganapati to spend
with my family."
Meanwhile
she got a call to get ready for the next play. So I requested
her to say something for those who are dreaming to come in
this industry. She said, "It is not as simple as you
think. You have to struggle a lot here then only you can survive.
And this is insecure field. You have to keep other source
of income open while working in this industry."
