RX-V3000GL - Natural Sound Home Theater Receiver
The
RX-V3000GL is an 8-channel receiver providing the finest performance
and processing available for music and video sound. The 8
channels are: L/R Main, Front Ctr, L/R Rear Effects, Rear
Ctr, and L/R Front Effects. The addition of front effects
speakers adds depth to the image. It features Yamaha's Digital
Sound Field Processing, Cinema DSP, Tri-Field Processing,
Dolby Surround Pro Logic, Dolby Digital processing, Digital
ToP-ART design for signal integrity, is compatible with Panja/Crestron.
DIGITAL Top-ART DESIGN
Yamaha's Digital ToP-ART - Total Purity Audio Reproduction
- design philosophy maximizes digital quality and minimizes
analog circuitry. Specifics include high performance digital
circuitry using 24-bit DACs for all output channels, a digitally
regulated volume control, processor direct switch, high density
Cinema DSP circuitry, utilizing Yamaha's 32-bit YS-928 LSI,
two decoding LSIs, and low impedance drive amplifier featuring
superior power transistors, and gigantic heat sinks.
DISCRETE POWER TRANSISTORS*
Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in
the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible.
The amp delivers 100 watts each to six channels and 25 watts
each to the two front effects channels.
49 SOUND FIELD MODES
Includes 70mm Cinema DSP, Tri-Field Processing DSP, Digital
Matrix 6.1, DTS ES*. Yamaha's exclusive Digital Sound Field
Processing for music recreates the acoustic personalities
of actual venues, the Roxy Theater in L.A., Village Gate in
N.Y., Anaheim Stadium, concert halls and churches in Europe.
New sound fields include N.Y.'s Bottom Line and Entertainment
modes. 35mm and 70mm Cinema DSP multiplies the effects of
Dolby Pro Logic and Yamaha DSP providing the best movie theater
recreation.
BUILT-IN DOLBY DIGITAL
Discrete surround is the most advanced and realistic encoded
surround sound for movies. The new Dolby Digital system is
a fully discrete system providing 5.1 channels of sound. Five
are full-frequency channels, and the sixth is a low frequency
effects channel.
BUILT-IN DTS
Like Dolby Digital, DTS is a discrete 5.1 channel system.
It uses a higher bit-rate for greater resolution and is available
on DVDs, laser discs, and music CDs.
DOLBY DIGITAL MATRIX 6.1 AND DTS ES* 6.1
6.1 channel surround is now available for the home, providing
a rear center for a complete surround experience. Utilizing
a 5.1-channel Dolby Digital or DTS signal, Yamaha's Matrix
Decoder extracts a rear center signal, (DTS ES). When a DTS
disc with a rear center channel signal is detected, the 6.1/ES
Auto function automatically turns on the matrix decoder. If
the rear channel is a stereo multi-channel signal, the effect
can be turned on manually, even without an identification
signal.
TRI-FIELD PROCESSING
Yamaha's exclusive Tri-Field Processing which applies Digital
Sound Field Processing technology to Dolby Digital and DTS
to create a true movie theater experience in the home. It
develops independent enhanced sound fields for the front signals
as well as for left and right surround.
DOLBY PRO LOGIC
Still a very popular format for movie surround sound and superbly
handled by the RX-V3000GL.
ALL-CHANNEL STEREO
Great for casual listening and parties, Yamaha's All-channel
stereo puts music through all speakers in the system and maintains
stereo imaging.
SILENT CINEMA
Building on technology incorporated into its world famous
"silent" musical instruments, Yamaha has added HRTF
and "Virtual" technology to create a realistic surround
movie effect using standard, two-channel headphones.
