Programs successfully conducted by Rotaract Club, Thane-Kalwe in 2001-2002

Month July 2001

• 10 Rotaractors attended the District Assembly held on 8th July at Patkar Hall.
  
• All the Rotaractors attended the installation ceremony of our Parent Rotary Club on 8th July held at Hotel Amantran, Kalwa.
  
• The Zonal Pres./Sec. was attended by the President & Secretary for planning of the Integration Run to be held on 15th of August in Zone Four. We were the host of one Pres./Sec.
  
• Our Club members attended the Installation Ceremony of R.C. Thane Midtown, R.C. Thane East, R.C. Thane Hills, R.C. Thane Town Wing & R.C. Dhanukar College.
  

Month August 2001

• Under the Club Service Avenue, a Picnic was organized on 5th Sunday at Madhuban Resort at Karjat, Thirteen Rotaractors and one Rotarian participated. The Club service director Rtr. Vishal Sonavane organised the Picnic.
  
• Integration Run program was organized in the Zone Four, Twelve Rotaractors from our club participated in the program.
  
• We conducted Joint Meets with our Parent Rotary Club.
  
• Rtr. Rohit & Rtr. Vishal of our Club attended Poona during the Ganpati Festival.
  

Month September 2001

• "DISHA" a Free Personality Development will be organized for the youths of Kalwa under the Professional Service Avenue the first seminar will be organized on 16th September and 23rd September 2001, and in future seminars will be held twice a month on second and fourth Sundays. There will be professional speakers who will guide the youths to enhance their personality. Rtn. Nandkishor Chauhan will arrange the speakers for us. Rtr. Rohit Shinde and Rtr. Rupalee Dhanavade will be the Project Director and Project Coordinator for the project. The venue for the project will be Vivekanand Academy, 1st Floor, Aditya Bldg., Gunsagar Nagar, Kalwa.
  
  
• Medicare an ongoing project for providing Medicines at concessional rates that was started in the year 1999 is still going smoothly and nearly 1000 people take the benefit of the project per year. The project is operated from Mahalaxmi Medical Stores Kalwa.
  

During the year we are planning to conduct various projects under the following avenues:
